Fostering change together

TSF operates through its field office, Sahel 21, a subsidiary of Terre Sans Frontières (S21-TSF), to support local communities. The programs promote sustainable development based on the involvement of local people and their communities. Success is built on close collaboration with village authorities and an approach rooted in Malian culture: getting to know one another, sharing principles and values, and then jointly developing initiatives. Interventions, whether in development or emergency aid, are based on a local governance approach that has been developed over more than 30 years in partnership with the people of Mali.

“Working together has allowed us to accomplish what we could never have done alone. Before, everyone farmed in their own corner, with low yields and great uncertainty. Thanks to the project and the cooperative organization, we have better harvests, easier access to water, and more stable incomes. Collective work is the key to our autonomy and our future.”
