Collaboration at the heart of our interventions
To be able to support communities in the South, Terre Sans Frontières works with a wide range of players from different backgrounds in all the countries where it operates.
The creation of partnerships with civil, governmental and international bodies enables TSF to better target the problems of the populations and to ensure local roots. These collaborations also enable us to continue our actions well beyond the end of our projects and programmes.
For TSF, the aim of partnerships is not to negotiate for or allocate sums of money. In Bolivia, for example, TSF works with municipalities in the department of La Paz. In recent years, TSF has equipped some public health clinics and helped train their medical staff. To take this a step further, the municipalities have taken on additional professionals. This partnership has enabled us to join forces to offer better care to the populations we serve.
The partnerships created in Mali and the Republic of Congo with village associations and refugee committees are two other interesting examples. These exchanges help us to understand the real needs of communities, because from one village to another, cultures and realities can be very different. So it is with great gratitude and appreciation that we thank all our partners, who like us work tirelessly to support people in need. These collaborations are absolutely necessary, and together we are sure to go further.
