Young Talents: Nurturing, Developing, Succeeding
To develop young people’s skills through poultry farming and gardening by incorporating school gardens for practical training, particularly for girls, but also to improve food security for pupils at the targeted schools
Thanks to the support provided by the Eulalie-Rose Foundation, the following activities were carried out:
– Setting up and preparing the garden
– Purchasing and installing a drip irrigation system
– Setting up a nursery and planting
– Ongoing mentoring, business support and monitoring
– Utilising the harvests and selling surplus produce
Thanks to the contribution from the Parish of St Thomas Aquinas, the following initiatives were carried out:
– Construction of a chicken coop and purchase of chicks
