Interventions under the volunteer cooperation program have traditionally aimed to consolidate management practices, strengthen internal mechanisms and promote long-term organisational autonomy. In response to the instability and security constraints of recent years, TSF has adapted its approach by prioritising virtual assignments. This has enabled the organisation to maintain its commitment and support for partners in the pursuit of their essential activities, thereby ensuring continued progress.
Strengthening governance and management systems
TSF has implemented a transformative initiative aimed at improving the financial governance of partner schools. Carried out over three years in collaboration with a long-standing local partner, the project has resulted in the implementation of a standardised accounting management system. Supported by the expertise of volunteer Canadian professional accountants, this program has strengthened administrative rigour, financial transparency and local accountability capacities.
Virtual cooperation and knowledge transfer
In contexts characterised by instability and security constraints, TSF adapts its program by offering virtual assignments in order to maintain its commitment to strengthening the professional and organisational capacities of its local partners. By promoting remote knowledge transfer and adapting tools to the realities on the ground, TSF enables its partners to maintain and consolidate their activities despite complex operational conditions.
Targeted professional assignments and technical support
In the past, one-off projects have made it possible to provide targeted healthcare in a number of areas. These initiatives were designed to address specific needs, strengthen existing services and support local professionals. Since the rise in insecurity, face-to-face projects have been put on hold pending an improvement in the situation.
