Identity

TSF has been working in the field of international development for over forty years. In its early days and until recently, the organisation financed over 200 partners in some twenty countries with government funding.
Over the last ten years, TSF’s organisational model has evolved enormously. For reasons of efficiency, we have repositioned ourselves in two main ways:

1. we have moved from micro-projects to more global programming based on three pillars of intervention: sustainable development, humanitarian aid and voluntary cooperation;

2. we have also changed our management process from indirect development by a large number of implementing partners to a direct development management process. This means that we now operate with field offices and a competent local team in seven countries.

In our view, this change enables us to respond more adequately to the real needs of the local populations we serve.

This model has enabled us to rapidly diversify our funding sources and better meet their high standards of good governance and accountability.
