PSF in Haiti – Winter 2019

Framework of intervention

Location: Haiti, Port-au-Prince

Dates: February – March 2019 (2 weeks, flexible dates)

Partners: Maison La Petite Béquille Louise Brissette (physiotherapist) in Haiti is in the beautiful village of St-Michel-du-Sud about 2 hours southwest of Port-au-Prince.


Mandate: objectives

Support the reinforcement of the skills of the professionals of La Petite Béquille:

  • Therapeutic needs analysis
  • Assessment of Capacity Building Needs in Pediatric Physiotherapy and Motor Development
  • Develop a three-year capacity building plan



Occupational therapist


Requirements and skills

Member in good standing of the Professional Order of Physiotherapy of Quebec (OPPQ)

Member in good standing of the Ordre des ergothérapeutes du Québec

Work experience

Physiotherapist Head of Mission: 5 years of practice experience (international cooperation mission experience an asset)

Physiotherapist and TRP participants: at least 2 years of practice experience

Occupational therapist: at least 2 years of practice experience

Experience in international cooperation

Previous experience an asset

Volunteers will have to make a financial contribution to Terre Sans Frontières in the form of fundraising

Mandatory meetings
Before departure, TSF organizes a pre-departure meeting at its offices to prepare the volunteers, as well as a meeting on return, for a return assessment.
