Terre Sans Frontières recently carried out a major decontamination operation at the St-François d’Assise Centre orphanage in Île-à-Vache, Haiti, to eradicate a scabies epidemic that was raging among the children.

During the decontamination, pediatricians also conducted a complete medical examination of each child.

The orphanage, which for the past year has been receiving support from Terre Sans Frontières thanks to the Marcelle and Jean Coutu Foundation’s contribution, cares for approximately 70 children, around 20 of whom have various disabilities.

Furthermore, a new building with a bathroom, a classroom, and a break and exercise room is currently nearing completion.
